The fabric used is 17-ounce Bushu sashiko cloth. Bushu sashiko is known for its distinctive texture and durability. Historically used for warmth and reinforcement, it is a traditional Japanese textile now commonly used in kendo and judo uniforms.

For dyeing, we adopt the traditional "Amami Mud Dye" technique, handed down through generations on Amami Oshima. Using dye from Techi trees (Crateva religiosa) native to the island, and iron-rich mud from geological layers over 1.5 million years old, each piece is carefully dyed by the power of nature. This results in a depth and warmth of color that artificial dyes simply cannot replicate.

The buttons are made from natural nut material.
