A traditional dyeing technique called "Kakishibu dyeing," passed down since the Heian period over 900 years ago.

It is said to have begun when samurai and yamabushi wore garments dyed in reddish-brown Kakishibu during the Heian period.

Due to its high antibacterial properties and deodorizing effects, fabric dyed with Kakishibu was also used as a herbal medicine.

As it changes color and develops deep hues when exposed to sunlight and air, it is also referred to as "sun dyeing,"

and it has been a part of the lives of the Japanese people for a long time.

This is a flannel shirt dyed with Japan's traditional dyeing technique, "Kakishibu dyeing."

As Kakishibu dyeing is known as "sun dyeing," it oxidizes when exposed to sunlight and air,

showing a rich and evolving character.

Like indigo, it allows you to enjoy the passage of time,

nurturing a unique color that you can cherish.

The buttons are made of nut buttons.
