In the era when traditional Japanese clothing was the everyday wear, cotton garments were very precious. They protected against the cold and heat. They were essential for survival.

People at that time never wasted clothing; they reused it repeatedly, and even when kimonos became worn out, they carefully patched the fabric to continue using it. The combinations of patterns born from this practice and the warmth of hand-stitched embroidery radiate a beauty unlike any other.

This shirt is made from the original 'NORAGI SASHIKO' fabric, which expresses such 'Noragi Sashiko' through jacquard weaving. By using slub yarns (yarns with varying thickness) in the same color tone in places, and combining them with mottled yarns, we have created a faded color reminiscent of well-worn fabric. The sashiko threads running vertically and horizontally are varied in direction and type in some areas to express a warmth akin to hand sewing, creating a complex texture on the surface of the fabric. 'NORAGI SASHIKO' has a substantial fabric feel, making it perfect for wearing alone or as an outer layer, making this shirt a year-round essential. The buttons are made of nut buttons.
