GL3 Kinari Regular Straight Jeans [SD-1001E]

The GL3, created half a century ago by Toyota Automatic Loom Works, is one of the earliest power looms in Japan, and since there are no replacement parts, the only way to maintain it is to extract parts from discarded machines of the same type. It requires considerable effort to maintain, and in addition, it can only weave a mere 5 meters per hour, making it an inefficient loom.

However, the denim woven on this GL3 has a ruggedness and rawness reminiscent of denim from half a century ago, making it a one-of-a-kind loom that can express workwear denim. The standard SD-1000 series 'GL3 Series' from D'Artisan utilizes denim made with D'Artisan's original recipe in every aspect, including the uneven texture of the yarn, yarn count, color, and the number of warp and weft threads, to maximize the characteristics of this GL3. It possesses a unique irregularity and roughness that cannot be expressed by modern denim, which is produced efficiently and uniformly.

This is a confident creation that was completed only after repeated test weavings without any compromises. The popular GL3 series now has a kinari version that allows you to enjoy the original color of the yarn without indigo dyeing. The kinari jeans, which show a different expression from indigo denim, bring a new way to enjoy denim as they are worn over time.
