This is a 15.0oz selvedge jeans made with thread dyed using "Indigo Shibori."

Indigo Shibori is a highly labor-intensive dyeing technique that involves first dyeing the fabric in a vibrant natural indigo blue,

and then layering it with persimmon tannin dye.

The color of Indigo Shibori is deeper than regular indigo dye,

and as it is worn, the persimmon tannin color becomes more pronounced.

This is due to the property of tannin, the main pigment component of persimmon tannin,

which condenses and polymerizes over time.

Additionally, persimmon tannin is said to have strong antibacterial and deodorizing effects,

and is also used in traditional herbal medicine.
