Noragi Sashiko Short Sleeve Shirt [5657]

In the era when traditional Japanese clothing was the everyday wear, cotton garments were very precious.

They protected against the cold and heat. They were essential for survival.

People at that time never wasted clothing; they reused it repeatedly,

and even when kimonos became worn out, they carefully patched the fabric to continue using it.

The combinations of patterns that emerged and the warmth of hand-stitched Sashiko exude a beauty unlike any other.

This is a short sleeve shirt made from the original fabric of 'NORAGI SASHIKO', expressed in jacquard weaving.

Using slub yarns (yarns with varying thickness) in the same color here and there,

we created a faded color reminiscent of well-worn fabric by combining heather yarns.

The Sashiko threads running vertically and horizontally are varied in direction and type to express a warmth akin to hand sewing,

creating a complex texture on the surface of the fabric through contraction.

Nut buttons are used for the buttons.
